Subject: James Kennedy and Raymond O' Neill
Date: Fri, 30 May 2003

I am seeking information about a friend of my Grandfathers. My Grandfathers name is James Kennedy and he is attempting to find any information about a friend of his Raymond O'Neill. They were both 94th Infantry A company 301 regiment. Mr.. O'neill saved my grandfathers life on two separate occasions, in one specific occasion Mr. O'neill carried my grandfather on his shoulders for over a mile when the general feeling was to leave him behind.

Unfortunately my grandfathers personal effects were stolen on the ship back to the U.S. and he has not had any contact with his friend. I understand there is a good chance that Mr. O'Neill may be deceased, Any information would be fantastic concerning Mr. Raymond O'Neill even family contacts. My grandfather has several pictures that he would love to send to his family.

Thank you very much for your help.

I am looking for anyone who knew my grandfather, David F. Hayes, during WWII in the 94th Infantry Division.  He passed away at 89 years of age on February 24th, 2003, and I wondered if anyone out there had any memories to share with me.  He told us many of his war stories, including his wedding in Camp McCain, Mississippi, a torpedo scare on the way to Europe on the Queen Elizabeth, a set of murals in Messack, France that depicted the hanging of an anti-Nazi priest, and his rough trip home on the tiny "David Shanks."

If anyone remembers David, who was a stocky, extremely friendly and funny guy, please email me.  He mentioned the names Miller, Osmick, and Bob Piper as some of his friends.  I hope someone has some memories to share.  Thank you.

Sincerely,

Denise Hayes

I have a Nazi flag captured by the 301st. M.P.E.G. Co. with about 100 sig.,no one knows about them. The flag; 301st. M.P.E.G. Co.-- METZ FRANCE--Dec. 1944--"FT. Jean de Arc" is written on it. What were they? Who were they?

Subject: Stewart, William Alton aka Bill, aka Tex

I am the daughter of a deceased veteran who served in WWII in 1945 in the 49th Infantry Division.  I am seeking information regarding the Brigade/Regiment, Battalion and Company of my dad William Alton Stewart, aka Bill, aka Tex.  I have compiled much data regarding the 94th in general, but without this information my search is at a standstill.  I am preparing documentation and pictures for my two adult brothers and my adult son.  Upon completion of my research, it is my hope that with  they will be able to follow his footprints through the war.
After the war, he went to Blatna, Czechoslovakia and from there to Kransberg, Germany.  Should anyone recognize him or remember him, please contact me at my husband's click here to email me
My compliments on your informative website.
Many thanks!

Sir:  Do you have any information about individuals able to direct person tours in the areas of the Saar River where I might visit the locations where my fathers cousin was killed in WWII?  I have often visited the cemetary in Luxembourg as I go to Brussels on business.  I do not wish to be on a formal group tour but rather arrange for a 2-3 day visit to the area.  Thanks for any info/names/recommendations you can provide.

Thanks
Daniel Epstein
