Date: Thu, 31 Jan 2002 Subject: George A. Toste, 376th I'd like to know if anyone who served in the 94th Division, 376th Regiment knew my father, George A. Toste. He was 21 years old in WW II and was a sergeant in "E" Company. He was from Pawtucket, Rhode Isand. He passed away in May 2000 and is buried in the R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, Rhode Island. It would be very appreciated if I could find out more about him, his unit, the trails and tribulations that he faced in WW II......He like so many of you veterans never talked about your hardships, but a son like me and others of my generation are very proud of our fathers and have a great need to know what happened. If you knew my dad, please send an E-mail to me at "toastman25@cox.net" or send me a letter to: David Toste |

Subject: message Date: Sat, 26 Jan 2002 I do not know who to send this message to, so you will have to decide. My husband JOHN H WILZ died on Dec 18 last year . I know he kept in touch with you and I have many wonderful pictures that he took. The picture in you last attack paper reminded me as he has one of giving children in a school treats on Christmas and the date and the town are on the picture. If any one would like photos I will send them a copy. They may have been in his unit and might be interested. He was with the 1st Bn 376th Inf 94. I may not be writing this correctly but be patient. I think you have his E mail address and so I will send this. Thank you Mrs. Wilz |

Subject: Dad in WWII/94th Date: Sun, 6 Jan 2002 Hi - My Dad is Leonard Earl Bennett & he lived in Mayodan, NC at the time of WWII. He was in the 94th Infantry Division & the 319th Engineers; also mentioned other short periods in the Medics, etc. He is 79 & lives right next door to me. He's never been to a reunion but has some wonderful stories. I also know another friend of his who was a member of this same outfit who lives in PA, Frank Miletics. They had a friend who died in the war & was w/them when he was killed so I'm assuming also the 94th, named Vince Hallorain (not sure about the spelling here). I don't believe Frank has been involved in these reunion groups either. I am overwhelmed w/the information & of course want to share it w/my Dad but also will be happy to share what he remembers w/you. Can you tell me if there is a way to do a specific name search? I noticed on one site that veterans as well as grown children are trying to find info. about someone specific but the lists are so long, I was hoping there is a way to narrow the search. I'll be anxious to hear from you. Thanks & God Bless, Sherry Bennett Bell (622 N. Elm St., Eden, NC 27288) |

Subject: Looking for Leonard J. Neff Date: Thu, 3 Jan 2002 About 2 years ago I made E-mail contact with Leonard J. Neff, the son of Leonard L. Neff of the 376 Infantry Division. His father Leonard L. Neff fought at Bannholz Woods 2-10-45 in Germany near my uncle James E. Graham. I have again E-mailed Mr. Neff, but he has apparently moved and changed his E mail and street address in Missouri. I am trying to make contact again. Mr. Neff or anyone that may know him please contact me as I may have some information about Leonard L. Neff that may be of interest. Thanks for your help.
