Subject: Evans C. Johnson Date: Sun, 28 Apr 2002 I Have A Gentalman Named" Evans C. Johnson " In My Assisted Living Home. He Tells Me That He Was With The 301st Co "D" During "The Battle Of The Buldge" And I Was Just Wondering If You Had Any Information About This Time Period. He Told Me That He Was Very Young At That Time And He Can Remember That Some Two Star Asked Him For a Match, So He Turned Around And Handed It To Him And His Mouth Hit The Ground and Just Stood There. It Would Be Nice To Here So More About This Guy If Possible.
Thank You

Date: Sat, 27 Apr 2002 Subject: Staff Sgt. John L. Gonzales My name is John A. Gonzales. My
father (named above), served in the 301st inf. in northern France, and
the Rhine. My father died from lung cancer when I was 15. He seldom talked
about the war, but when he did he spoke of true friends and the bravest
men he ever knew. I would very much like to hear from anyone with
info. on, or who knew my father. He was a Staff. Sgt.
