I Have A Gentalman Named" Evans C. Johnson " In My Assisted Living Home.  He Tells Me That He Was With The 301st Co "D" During "The Battle Of  The Buldge" And I Was Just Wondering If You Had Any Information About This Time Period.  He Told Me That He Was Very Young At That Time And He Can Remember That Some Two Star Asked Him For a Match, So He Turned Around And Handed It To Him And His Mouth Hit The Ground and Just Stood There.  It Would Be Nice To Here So More About This Guy If Possible.

                                   Thank You

Subject: Staff Sgt. John L. Gonzales

My name is John A. Gonzales.  My father (named above), served in the 301st inf. in northern France, and the Rhine. My father died from lung cancer when I was 15. He seldom talked about the war, but when he did he spoke of true friends and the bravest men he ever knew.  I would very much like to hear from anyone with info. on, or who knew my father.  He was a Staff. Sgt.
native American and Hispanic decent. 5ft 5in. tall, 118 lbs. and was a champion boxer.  Any info.  would be greatly appreciated.    Thank you and God Bless.

Subject: George John Rooksby, Company G, 376th infantry

I'd like to take you up on your offer of checking for association men who might have been in my Uncle's company.  Uncle George:

Enlisted in the Reserve Corps on November 5, 1942 at Syracuse, NY.
Reported for active duty December 28, 1942.
Left the United States for foreign service August 6, 1944.
Was killed in action February 20, 1945, in Germany, at which time he held the grade of sergeant and was a member of Company G, 376th infantry.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who served in Company G, 376th infantry who might have known my uncle, George John Rooksby, Sergeant, Service # 12 106 142, who was killed in action February 20, 1945.  George was born and raised in Rochester, NY and inducted into service in Syracuse, NY.

Appreciate any additional information you can give me.

Subject: Allew Warner Phelps

I am looking for anyone who knew my father, Allen Warner Phelps.  He was in the HQ of the 302nd Infantry Regiment.  Apparently he was a MP. He passed away in 1995 and we are trying to locate someone who could help with some notes that he left.  I also found an old newsletter from "E" Company.

Thank you for your assistance.  Please E-Mail.

Subject: Frank Pucket McDade, Sr.

My Daddy was in the 94th Infantry, Third Armored Division, Reconnaissance.
Daddy's name was Frank Pucket McDade, Sr.  We lived in Cedar Grove, N.C.
Daddy passed away 12/30/88.  Daddy drove a tank in the war and his gunner's name was Chester Pollingawski (I'm very uncertain of the spelling).  Daddy was with a soldier named Patrick Murtaugh from Chicago, Illinois the entire time he was in service even basic training.  Mr. Murtaugh's wife's name was Sally.  I would very much like to find out anything you can tell me about my Daddy and help me get in touch with some of the men who might have served with him.  My brother, who was 14 months old before Daddy saw him, and I had the most wonderful Mama and Daddy.  We lost our sweet little Mama on Feb. 9, 2001.  I have this great desire to find out more about that time of Mama and Daddy's lives.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Sincerely,

Jo McDade Westbrook
