I would like to hear from anyone who may have known my dad, Major John A. (Jack) Brennan, who was WIA on 20 September 44 in southern France.  At the time he was the 390th FA battalion tng. officer. Prior to arrival in the ETO he was "A" battery commander of the 919th FA.  He died in Waukegan IL on 22 January 1987.

Subject: PFC Jesse Edwards, 302d Inf Reg, Co A
Date: Fri, 7 Jul 2000

I am looking for information about my uncle, PFC Jesse Edwards, who was KIA on 24 January 1945 (possibly in the Taben-Serrig area), and is buried in Luxembourg.  He was in Company A of the 302d Inf Reg.  He was from Roseboro, NC.   I began this research about four years ago, and with the help of Mr. Harry Helms, had the honor of speaking with some gentlemen from the 302d who knew my uncle (Bob Hartsook, Jack Powley, John Locke, and John "Anti-Tank" Brooks).  Also had some help from Harold Eckman.  The initial search for information about Jesse was for my father (Jesse's brother).  However, because of my father's illness and death in 1997 I gave up the effort for a while.  Now I'm searching again.   One of Jesse's nephews named his son in honor of our uncle and I would like the boy to know as much as possible about him.

I have a picture of Jesse with PFC Thomas W. Locke from Tennessee, PFC John "Anti-Tank" Brooks from Tennessee, PFC John B. Cook from Virginia, and CPL Sisto.

I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has any information at all about Jesse - and possibly about one of the men who was with him when he stepped on a mine.  I was told that one of the men was Ed May, and I know nothing about him except that he was from the south.  I've also been told that Jesse was an expert with the Browning Automatic Rifle. Thank you for your help and thanks to all the men of the 94th for your sacrifices.
